The common name silverspot is for the remarkable silver spot on each gill plate which flash as the fish breathes. I got a short (bad quality) video of it today and put it on Youtube [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdiHuZiXUVc&feature=channel]YouTube - silverspot (Threpterius maculosus)[/ame]
