The new cable fencing looks very modern and sleek. This 1.3 acre aviary must be one of the largest of its kind at any American zoo...and one of the best!
@snowleopard I’m eager to see how this area ages as there are many young tree plantings. It is very different in terms of horticulture than you would find in St Louis in the 1904 Flight Cage and of course the massive aviaries in San Diego. I’d say it complements those by focusing on different species despite the similar collection as St Louis, but more suited and designed for our rigorous winters here.
