These tigers found themselves in the news soon after my visit when they killed a zoo cleaner who had entered the exhibit to commit suicide. They were born in Indonesia in September 1999 but came to Singapore in April 2001. Host informed us that the tigers are castrated and only exhibited for education purposes.
