It's native to southeast Alaska and coastal British Columbia. A couple are on exhibit at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Portage, Alaska. I would not be surprised if other small zoos (especially of the Game Farm or Nature Center variety that take in rescue animals) in the Pacific Northwest display them as well. Northwest Trek in Washington displays the Columbian Black-tailed Deer, which is a closely related subspecies (slightly larger).
