Compared to Indri, Olive Colobus, Pygmy sperm whale, most insectivorous microchiroptera species, Potamogalinae or Colugos (to name just a few), the results of the captive husbandry of polar bears look far more promising than assumed...
@Sun Wukong I do wonder if more modern facilities would keep these animals with more success... Then again, scientific zoos nowadays prefer not to capture new animals (and for good reason, IMO), so the likelihood is low.
