Yes, I remember on the old bus tours, the drivers were given a bag of oranges to throw at the bears. When they drove down bear alley (or whatever it was called), each bear would stand up like this to catch an orange thrown at it. They have long since stopped this practice, since begging animals are no longer considered appropriate.
The zoo recently re-acquired this species after years of not keeping them (the oinly bear species the zoo does not keep now is black bear and moon bear)
I doin't think it woluld be to much trouble for San Diego to acquire black bears and im sure since it is San Diego, they could probably be able to get there hands on moon bears
Actually, I think Cleveland only has 5 now do to there sun bears going to Honolulu. They just haven't taken down there profile on the website
