Small Carnivore Cages at Hanoi Zoo, 15/03/12

This run has Common Palm Civets, Masked Palm Civets and Chinese Leopard Cats. All were visible but only the most rudimentary photography was possible. I had a better view of Masked in the quarantine area at Hanoi, and of the other two species the next day in Saigon.

Any marbled cats either here or at Saigon?

Sadly no. The Leopard Cat and tigers were the only cats I saw at Hanoi, though there was an exhibit labelled for Asian Golden Cats. Saigon had Indochinese Tigers, a white tiger, 'zoo' African Lions, white lions (presumably pure krugeri but no guarantees), a leopard (subspecies not labelled but from reading around all the leopards in Vietnamese zoos seem to be rescues/captures from within Vietnam so pretty sure it's delacouri), Indochinese Clouded Leopards, Chinese Leopard Cats, Asian Golden Cats and Fishing Cats.

The 'genuine' (i.e. not jacksoni) corbetti tigers were by far the most interesting cat rarity-wise - though the other small carnivores at Saigon were a fascinating set of species (as you'll see when the photos go up!).
