While I always appreciate when zoos focus on smaller cat species, these exhibits are just tacky and outdated. No privacy, no foliage, totally outdated, little fishbowls for wildcats.
@DelacoursLangur The thing is, you can't really have flowers there, if there is no sunlight though. It's not really visible enough on this photo, but the more sunlight the exhibit gets, the more foliage it has:
Margay (left): almost no sunlight = no foliage
Geoffroy's cat (center): one bush
Gordon's cat (right): Dense foliage
But other than that, I agree with you, the cat house is in dire need of reconstruction.
