It is amazing that this snow leopard exhibit, which opened in 1982, is still one of the best of its kind in North America. The Bronx Zoo's Himalayan Highlands also opened in the 1980's, and it is surprising that another North American zoo has not created an even better habitat for these magnificent felines.
I remember seeing this exhibit when I was in Seattle, it really impressed me with the foliage and good hiding spots for the Snow Leopards. You'd figure better exhibits would be made for this rare of a cat though in other parts of the US. I think its because the main problem with the cat is not breeding but loss of habitat.
