No, they have access to a crappy outdoor cage. They are on a rotational basis, so every other day the male is in the indoor exhibit connected to the outdoor, and every other day he is confined to this cage above, which shows about 95% of the entire cage. It is competing with Pittsburgh and Omaha for the worst snow leopard exhibit in the country, and the leopards spend most of their day pacing and resting.
Pittsburg is much better...its not the biggest but its not so "cage" and sad - i think this exhibit is just bad , and i asked about it. I've been told that they don't change this bad building because the animals are breeding well....that was 3 years ago.
Plus they don't give the leopards much enrichment at all. That plant you see is about it. The good thing about the babies is that the mother paced a lot less after her baby was born, and they spent more time doing natural behaviors playing, grooming, etc.
but look at this exhibit...i dont see any good things about it. and thats for snow leopard, the lemurs witout any enrichment and concrete floor makes a horrible exhibit.
