Snow leopard sign

The zoo's female snow leopard, Nanga, very sadly died recently after giving birth to a male cub, called Milo. The cub was being hand-reared but sadly died aged 4 weeks.

This just now leaves Dudley with male Margaash until this new female arrives.

Nanga and Margaash had a cub two years ago, called Makalu, who recently left DZG for Darjeeling Zoo in the foothills of the Himalayas as part of a global breeding programme, which could see Makalu?s descendants released into the wild.

DZG is also currently fundraising to build an extension to their snow leopard enclosure.
