@snwoleopard. Its larger. Its a very good exhibit, and it looks much better in summer times. But don't forget, the seperate cages are typical old stile and small, but vistors can't seem them. So the snowleopards use the enclosure in change.
I would suggest that the tall enclosure. Actually enhances the visitor experiance and is not wasted. As a lower roof would define the space and make it appear allot smaller.
