South African Springbok fawn

At Nursery with other recently born hoofstock
What else do they have in the nursery kraal right now? Looks like a bontebok calf and a least two other little ones. They’ve moved to pulling and hand-raising all of their springbok calves because the springbok have proven to be too elusive and evasive when they’ve had to dart them for procedures or to be moved.

@Kudu21 I counted at least another Springbok fawn, a bontebok, 2 gerenuks, and what appeared to be a Thompson’s or Soemmering’s gazelle fawn as well :) I didn’t know they were doing that, the nursery was pretty filled during my visit and it looks like all the fawns were socializing with one another too.

@Kudu21 you’re welcome! I heard that the gerenuk program is having some difficulties due to the sex ratio, I do love seeing the fawns here and in LA’s nursery :)
