From what I’m seeing, Shanghai Zoo looks like a really impressive facility as far as Chinese zoos go. @twilighter, what did you think about the place overall, and was this visit separate from the expansive trip with @snowleopard?
@Austin the Sengi Shanghai zoo is definitely a high quality zoo. There are some outdated parts, as any other place, but it is a great zoo overall. It is considered the best zoo in the country by few Chinese Zoo friends. I think that China will surprise you with the quality of their zoos in general. This visit was not part of the South East Asian trip that @snowleopard and I did last year, but would be great if we could tour China together. I only saw few collections this time and I hope to come back in the future.
