Giant Eland

Species ID please?

Taken off the coast of Punta Arenas, Chile

I'm not a bird guy. I'm sure I could use google to try to identify the species, but hey, it's more fun to have the zoochat community help me out!
Kelp gull (Larus dominicanus).

According to the checklist of birds of Chile, the only other possibilities would be Belcher's gull but those have different beaks (so completely ruled out) or a vagrant Herring gull but those are very grey unlike this one
