A true authentic mythical dreamed FIDDLER RAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And in a touch tank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man you was soooo lucky!!!!! I die of envy!

@Kakapo Are they rare? I've seen them at several aquariums here in the US, often in touch tanks.

Well, enough rare as for never have been seen by me in any aquarium or zoo. In ZTL there is only one holder - Oceanario de Lisboa. It's not just the rarity what excite me so much, but the incredible spectacularity of the species - it's one of my most favourite rays.

Cool! I don't recall seeing them before, they really caught my eye. There were 2 in this touch tank and 1 (that I could see) in the much larger stingray touch tank. It was interesting touching them and feeling how very rough they are, like sand paper, compared to the soft, fleshy stingrays.

They plan to move these to Ocean Realm when they grow up if i'm not mistaken.
