This certainly looks better than their previous(?) enclosure. But despite the length of time they've had them, they have never bred here so something appears unsuitable still. Surprised they were able to get them originally too.
Very busy walkway next to this enclosure, with lots of different animals around too; whereas at Chester for instance the enclosure is a bit more out of the way, with more private areas for the bears. Not sure if this makes a difference mind.
@gulogulogulo I think their indoor area has never been suitable for cubbing either- so reason could be too much stress possibly from visitors/mixed exhibit/ not enough privacy etc.
