Speke's Gazelle and White Rhino

A very impressive horn. Speaking of Horns of Africa, this is where Speke's Gazelle comes from, around 3500 miles from Zululand, the stronghold of Southern White Rhino. This is roughly the distance between London and New York!

Sometimes the scope of zoogeographic exhibits does seem a tad excessive!

Rhinos figured in the Horn of Africa too (be they northerners ..), so it is a bit closer to home.

That these days rhinos are no more in large parts of the Horn does not diminish the exhibit. Over and above: both species are endangered.
