Splendid sunbird

Splended sunbird in the freeflight Blackburn Pavillion. This is pretty much my only \'accidental arty shot\' from the day so thought I\'d put it up first, will post a few species shots tomorrow

Very nice! The Blackburn Pavilion is a nice place to take photos in, and that sunbird posed very well.

Thanks for the compliments - I did enjoy the Blackburn Pavillion, especially for this bird and for the Emerald hummingbird. The BP is, I would say, one of the 5 best parts of London (Reptile House, Clore/Nightlife, BP, Aquarium, Penguin Beach) were my faves.

This was a very lucky shot, wish it was a bit sharper but can't really argue with the pose. It was preening and I have a small selection of shots in different odd poses, but this is by far the best
