Hello Kestrel,

I am from Brazil and I will be visiting Sri Lanka next February. I will be in a Mammal Watching tour through the country and on February 8th, I will be visiting the National Colombo Zoo.

Does the zoo has any Sri Lanka endemics, like Golden Palm Civet/ White and Yellow Spotted Chevrotains and Mongoose species?

Hey @Elias unfortunately you are coming at a time when a lot of the endemic species will be off display. The sloth bears, grey tufted langur, golden palm civets, rusty-spotted cats are all off display at the moment. Sri Lankan Elephants, Sri Lankan leopards, Sri Lankan Jackals, toque macaques, Western Purple-faced langur, Sri Lankan Sambar, Sri Lankan Jungle cat, Sri Lankan river otter (Sri Lankan ssp of the Eurasian otter), Sri Lankan Axis deer, both species of Chevrotains and Sri Lankan Wildboar should all be on display.
