Steinhart Aquarium - Australian Lung fish

Australian lungfish really get shamefully small aquaria. When given space they are very active, but most zoos still treat them as finned logs...

yeah, it really is interesting. I saw your picture today and it was a super impressive aquarium there in SDZ, especially compared to CAS.

@lintworm , I am not sure that I have ever seen one before, but you are right - it is a small tank for a fish that size.

Tank does seems a bit small. Of note is that this specimen named Methuselah is the oldest living aquarium fish, being likely over 90 years old and shipped to Steinhart in 1938 as an adult.

@splendens fascinating! Another thing about this places is the lack of informational signs outside of the species held - that is the kind of information they really out to let people know.
