When I reported seeing a stoat in this large walk-through aviary, I was told that this owl was put into the aviary to solve the problem. I regret that I didn't ask whether the owl was meant to scare the stoat or to eat it. Either way it took no notice of the stoat.
I think it is an African spotted eagle owl.
