Specifically this behemoth is a Morton Bay Fig (Ficus macrophylla). It was moved into its final location from elsewhere in the zoo when Monkey Trails was built. The enormity of that task is mind blowing to me.
@Ituri - A similar undertaking is currently underway at the Safari Park. Two mature fig trees are being uprooted from their current location across from the former upper elephant viewing area to be moved into the Elephant Valley site.
