In March Warsaw zoo announced arrival of this beautiful species. One bird came from Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and lives with another species (e.g. Yellow-breasted fruit dove) in on-show enclosure inside Bird House (Ptaszarnia).
It was one of my highlights.

@Neva Me too, the laughingthrushes are some of my favorite songbirds, and sadly many of them are quite too very endangered also, so zoos have an opportunity of making a difference for these species.

Also, one of my local zoos, Antwerp, has recently acquired two Garrulax species (G. courtoisi and G. bicolor).

@KevinB Totally agreed. Prague surprised me by an amount of laughingthrushes - and enthuse me with the interest in them. So, zoos can do a lot :).
And also it's great to hear that another zoo joined the programme about this critically endangered birds!
I saw that Hodonin and Goerlitz have some nice species also.

@Terry Thomas thank you for all your comments :) It's really nice to see that you like these shots!
