SMR 20 Oct 2012 Sumatran orang-utan (Pongo abelii) 'Emma' and one-day old son. I was only at the zoo for a short period and trying to spot Emma and the baby is tricky to say the least, so hopefully better shots will follow.

P P Pertinax 21 Oct 2012 pretty good shot I would say. Alway intersting to see Sumatran females as they fully mature-like males, their beards also get fuller and longer and their faces often darken too- compare this with earlier photos of Emma/Subis when they were younger.
