The blue and yellow structure at the back is a viewing platform at the top of the enclosure, from which this other photo was taken - Sun Bear enclosure (top view) | ZooChat (this area used to be a giraffe paddock, and the viewing platform was for that purpose).
If I flew to New Zealand and visited Wellington Zoo then I can 100% guarantee that my 4 kids would be running over to that Sun Bear statue as first as their legs could carry them. Animal statues are like powerful magnets for young children.
