Rotana is on the right with the large marking and Somnang on the left with the thinner marking. They are coming on brilliantly with Somnang displaying much less of the pacing behaviour than when he first arrived. At the recent members talk on the sun bears they were described as rottweilers on steroids crossed with chimpanzees!
There are two males but the hope is one shall move on to join a female in another zoo whilst a female joins the one that remains in Edinburgh. Remember neither are represented at all in the European captive population having come from the Fre the Bears sanctuary in Cambodia.
