As far as I can tell, because it was deemed sub-standard and as such is being demolished and rebuilt, with a re-opening date of 2016. In the meantime some species have been placed in other locations in Wilhelma, some are held off-display and some have been sent to other collections..... but with the exception of the Lowland Vischachas, which have definitely been sent elsewhere, I've had a bugger of a time trying to find out which species fit into which categories!
