I visited Healesville Sanctuary in 2007 and the facility is a top-notch zoo that focuses exclusively on native wildlife. In the 9 years since my visit there have been non-stop improvements to many exhibits; often fairly minor changes but ones that have been well received by individuals that frequent the establishment. Showcasing such a wonderful, iconic species such as the platypus with the new tanks and tiered seating is a brilliant decision.
