TBH a straight ahead black mesh cage like this is preferable to most new gibbon enclosures I see. Replace the supporting posts with stronger top beams, or disguise them with wood, maybe add a few plantings. Either go all the way with an immersive moat and plantings, or do something like this which allows you to economically support a breeding program. Mesh provides vertical space anyways.
