Belgium actually has a long history of research on and around Antarctica, dating back to the expedition of Adrien de Gerlache (1896-1899), which was the first to winter in the Antarctic region.This exhibit runs from October 17th, 2019 to August 30th, 2020. With thanks to the museum and Institute.
