"Texas Wild!" does have an extremely extensive animal collection, but this massive, $60 million project clearly puts humans first and the captives firmly in second place. I've debated the merits of this complex with others who adore it, but to me it has some nice touches but overall does not cater enough to the zoo's animals.
To be honest, having had a root through the gallery and a look at the zoo's website, the feeling of this being a visitor amenity rather than an animal exhibit is one I share.
