It is very good that they got the baby back in the group so early on- so much better for his social development than being reared in a nursery and then living just with others the same age, or maybe joining a bachelor group. Those males often never see a female Gorilla at all.
Has there been another birth in this group since 'Nasibu' left for Lisbon Zoo ? If not. does it mean he was the breeder, rather than the silverback 'Efata', as is suggestd on some (unofficial) S/B listings? Have they DNA tested the two babies born here to establish the male parent for certain?
