The interior of the "Little Africa" building

The windows on the right look into enclosures for reptiles, and for Yellow Mongooses. Ahead are the inevitable Meerkats, and to the left, out of shot, is the aviary, and the nocturnal house. A rather nice little development, with some interesting species - Greater Egyptian Jerboa, African Dormouse, African Pygmy Mouse, Pouched Rat, Lesser Hedgehog Tenrec, Fennec Fox.

The rides are the main draw here, but the animal side seems to be being given a bit of a boost: as well as this development, new aviaries are currently being built for Pelicans and Flamingoes. Which is good.
