The Local Ringtail Possum

Common Ringtail Possum - the backyard resident seen each night.
You are so lucky! All we get down here are Brushtails, and I have only seen wild ringtails on two occasions, both very briefly.

@Osedax Brushtail Possums are probably overall more common but Ringtail Possums are actually the species I see the most; there is a large population in the centre of Brisbane and are all throughout South Bank. Half an hour away, Short-eared Brushtail Possums are also clinging on in Brisbane's leafier suburbs. Nothing compared to the possum diversity up north but still decent.

@Mr Gharial I'd love to see a Eurasian Red Squirrel one day!
