From memory, the rock wall behind is a disguise for the indoor building with glass viewing from the indoors, right?
The exhibit looks a bit small, dunno if it's just perspective...

I think you are correct. The Lion and Tiger enclosures have high back rock walls, which hidding the glass roof. I can not call the Tiger's enclosure huge and is a smaller than the Lion's, but given the limited space will probably be one of the better for the big cats in the New house. Quite a lot of space is used for the moat, actually, in expense of the other part of the excibit. Could be for security reasons.

I remember this being the Sumatran tiger exhibit though when I went. I may be confusing it for a similar exhibit. There were two tigers who was just standing right next to the glass viewing so it was impossible to take a good photo
