This was the former Big mammals House used for elephants, rhinos, hippos,giraffes, camels...but it isn't used for animals since many years.I think, it is closed to the public and only open for special events.
It is closed to the public. One of the external paddocks adjacent to the building currently occupied Hawaian Goose (Nene). In the summer there is also probably paddock for the Aldabra giant tortoises.
Does anybody know when the last time there were megafauna like giraffes, elephants, hippos, and rhinos housed at this zoo? Was it before the current Paris Zoo site first opened in the 1930s?
