This is really unfortunate bear is chained and visitors are photographed with him. You can see a lot of photos on the web. Unenviable fate. There were two other bear in a small cage, but I have to check about their coloration.
All it would take to put an end to it is for people to stop visiting places like that. Sadly, from what I have read the general population of many Asian countries have little regard for animal welfare.

Never seen a Himalayan Black bear that isn't Black before. I wonder how common this (or other) Morph is. Is it local to the Tibetan part of its range perhaps?
