@Hix I gotcha. If it were me, I would have dropped it in a jar of alcohol if I had access and donated it to a museum to keep in their invertebrate zoology department. That was such a fascinating specimen.
@UngulateNerd92 As this was in a Wildlife Reserve where all wildlife is protected - including the ugly parasites - and considering I was part of a tour group, not a scientific excursion, and I didn't have any alcohol with me, it was out of the question.
Had circumstances been different, I would certainly have seen it as a potentially valuable specimen.
