I agree. At the time I was 10 years old and had only seen a few lions before him so I think any male lion would have made me gaze. Nonetheless I remember his really fine mane and majestic looks. I have more photos of the male I saw in the exhibit in 1995 and that lion was looking the same, so as it was only four years later, I assume it was Drabo as well. He seems to give you fond memories. As I also remember the sight of him fondly, can you tell me anything about him, if he was born in Hagenbeck and if he lived out his life there?
