This is a very interesting exhibit, some 4800 square meters big, if i remember correctly. One "designed" and "themed" area and one area simply being an authentical piece of rocky Swedish pine forest. The two spaces are divided by water and accessible to the animals at all times.

Interestingly and a bit surprising to me - who have spent many, many hours watching the web cams, - the tigers actually seem to favour the wide open "designed" area. It is my impression that they spend more time there than in the pine forest with the natural rocks. Maybe they are sometimes simply interested in watching the human visitors up closely - in this part of the enclosure the visitors are behind glass in the building you see in the "south-west" piece of the picture. Sometimes the human visitors also appear in the "buried bus" that you can see a piece of - and this seems to make the tigers very interested, indeed! (For an addional fee you can be brought into this bus, via un underground tunnel, by the zoo keepers.)
