Timber wolf

Vintage postcard seen at a local antique store (1968).
The back of the postcard reads:
TIMBER WOLF - BRONX ZOO
Once common in North America, Europe, and most of Asia east to Japan, the wolf has now been exterminated over most of its former range. The Bronx Zoo's natural habitat exhibit for wolves is a large, heavily-wooded, barless enclosure called Wolf Wood.

I Remember this exhibit when I was a child .. beautiful exhibit, then it became home to Mexican wolves in the mid to late 90’s .. now Tiger Mountain lies in this spot
