A great length of tubing runs along part of the museum route as an evolutionary timeline, with checkpoints every few metres signifying different stages in the planet's history. Some of the checkpoints have fascinating objects from that era displayed nearby (e.g. fossils and minerals). A great way to demonstrate that the earth really has been going for ages, and that we're relatively new creatures.
