I was standing in the India section, they were in the Cambodia section.

Compared to the situation they came from, they must really enjoy their new life in this large area.

(I am of course not referring to their immediate past in San Diego, but their lives for many years in Texas).

They do appear to be two very happy elephants.

I noticed that too, but today was the first day in a long time that there was anti-zoo demonstrators outside the zoo's gates protesting against keeping elephants in zoos. If I'm not mistaken, today was the International Day of Action for Elephants in Zoos organized by IDA.
