Toledo Zoo - Cheetah Exhibit

July 2008. A huge, sloping valley enclosure for at least 4 cheetahs.

It's definitely a huge exhibit, but it's funny how there are worn-down trails along the side and through the middle of the enclosure. It appears that all the cheetahs take the same path whenever they cross from one side to the other.

I've noticed that with lots of cheetahs, although they're not necessarily pacing they tend to use the same tracks all the time.

It is interesting to note that this is now a yak exhibit, although it might depend on how many animals are in the enclosure in terms of how fast the grass will disappear. :)

I think Toledo has completely given up on this exhibit, nothing has been in it for years and on the zoos map it’s just shows up as a grassy area.

Another problem is I don’t quite know what the zoo can do with it anyways, as it is just a deep valley and would not be easy to build on.
