Toronto Zoo - Gorilla Exhibit

July 2008.
Is this the indoor or outdoor exhibit? It looks indoor because of the roof in the back.

The gorilla exhibit at the Toronto Zoo is basically divided into three different sections. There is an outdoor area that isn't that large but does contain a number of climbing opportunities. Then there is a small indoor day room that has concrete floors and one viewing window for zoo visitors. Both the indoor and outdoor sections are almost impossible to photograph due to glare on the windows and the black wire cage structure. The third area for the gorillas is the largest, but is entirely indoors.

At the Toronto Zoo there is no such thing as fake plants. Every animal exhibit from snakes to elephants containd live plants.

a troop of eight gorillas live in the whole complex. Also, the dayroom actually has two windows but the outside on is extremely glared.

@snowleopard I found you again;) sir, that small indoor day room is the bedroom for silverback and female gorillas. What do you think of Toronto Zoo's gorilla indoor and outdoor enclosure, compare to the counterparts in US top zoos?

@StellarChaser Well, I've visited hundreds of different zoos and aquariums since I spent the day at Toronto Zoo in 2008, but I recall the outdoor exhibit to be fairly mediocre in comparison to many great gorilla habitats in zoos around the world.
