Birmingham Zoo plans on keeping a bachelor herd of elephants, which is something that is probably considered long overdue by many AZA members. Now there will be a place for excess male elephants, but I'm not sure how many are supposed to be at the zoo by next year.
Ahaha, exact what I thought when I looked at the big picture. I know they have some panorama-type exhibits for this one right? With flamingos and hippos and then the mixed exhibit?
