A view inside the tropical hall in the Hagenbeck Tropen Aquarium. Free-ranging species such as Rodriquez' flying fox, Livingston's turaco and white-fronted bee-eater live in the tree-tops while nile crocodiles lives in the huge pool.

Is that a ladder on the huge pole in the middle of the exhibit? It appears to be quite a large pool for the nile crocs.
 
Yes, but the latter is intended for the keepers, gardeners and maintenance workers of the Tropen Aquarium;)
 
Perhaps the huge crocs will claw their way up the ladder and then do enormous bellyflops into their pool. It could be a German Seaworld!!
 
Then perhaps one of them could become the next Knut:eek: If only the German press and public can learn to love nile crocodiles...:p
