A decent range of fish species with the datnoid and arowana being the obvious highlights as the remaining species are commonly found in the pet trade. The smaller commoner species still however support the narrative Auckland Zoo are trying to present with south-east Asia and not enough zoos in the region use exotic freshwater fish in such a way like this to maximise species diversity and display opportunities. Kudos to Auckland. Are the gharial mixed with all 13 species of fish or are there separate tanks to accommodate the larger predatory fish?
@WhistlingKite24 Thanks for that additional information! There were multiple tanks, including some separate from the False gharial. The Asian arowana were seperate; whereas there was a large number of Tinfoil barbs in with the False gharial.
