It was pretty amazing, and she was really active. A zookeeper told me that a male orangutan also has access to the exhibit with her, but he has yet to make it very far through the transfer chute. Good luck tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing whatever pics you post.
So happy to see this -- lovely to see already that the orangutans (well, Sophia) is using the vertical space already. I hadn't imagined seeing them climb up this high on the bamboo!

Sophie the orangutan definitely showed a preference for staying up high on her first day on exhibit. She climbed the rockwork, netting, trees, and ropes, and used the bamboo sway poles several times while I was watching her. I didn’t see her attempt to go to the ground, but that could change in the future.
